1c Green, Coil (392). Two covers franked with guide line pairs, first dated Oct. 20, 1913 from Saginaw Mich. to Sherman Tex., second back to Saginaw with Oct. 23 date, both with same writing and second folded (indicating a self-addressed return envelope), first with some staple rust on back and right stamp a few toned perfs, still VF and scarce line pair covers, no doubt sent between philatelists, Mr. Curtis acquired these years apart and reunited them, Scott retail is $1000 for two used line pairs but that hardly does justice to fascinating pair of covers. Ex-Farrell. 2015 Siegel Auctions hammer price $600 in sale 1093. (Est $600-800)
