Horiz pair (margin just touches at lower left) tied by a partial strike of the New Market, Va CDS (date not apparent). Addressed to Surgeon J.W. Tracey (mispelled, should be "Tracy"), Hospital No. 7, Raleigh, NC, which was a military hospital for NC soldiers. This cover was used as an illustration in an article written by Patricia Kaufmann in the ASD&C magazine March 2009. Very clean orange paper cover with a small sealed edge tear upper left and a sealed backflap opening tears. Signed PAK and Kimbrough. (Est $200-300)
