Mint partial sheets of 9, and gutter pane of 10. Stamps for booklets were printed in sheets consisting of 3 panes of 48 subjects (3 x 16) for a total of 144 stamps. A very few of these sheets were sold at the post offices in Paris. From them portions such as these have survived. They reveal the characteristics of the plate: the pane of three stamps across and the holes in the intervening margins. F-VF. (Est $1000-1500)
